Swiss Ambassador's visit to Wales - March 2026
Ambassador attends St David’s Day event and meets Swiss community in Wales
Ambassador Dominique Paravicini, together with the Swiss Honorary Consul in Wales Marlies Hoecherl, had the privilege of joining Darren Millar MS, members of the Senedd and Church leaders for the annual St David’s Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast at the Senedd in Cardiff.
In addition to meetings with representatives of the Senedd and the Welsh Government, the Ambassador’s programme included a stop in Newport and visit to Cicor, a Swiss electronics manufacturer, which is expanding its operations in Wales.
The two-day visit also included a reception for the Swiss community in Wales and the annual meeting of the Swiss Honorary Consuls in the UK, which took place in Cardiff this year.
