Soirée Suisse 2026

On 30 June 2026, the Embassy of Switzerland in London hosted its annual flagship event, the Soirée Suisse, welcoming friends, partners and sponsors for an evening celebrating the strong and enduring relationship between Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Set against the backdrop of one of London's most renowned cultural institutions, the Victoria & Albert Museum, this year's Soirée Suisse brought together guests from across business, government, academia, culture and civil society to mark the close ties and longstanding friendship shared by Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

The 2026 edition was inspired by the art and science of ice, reflecting Switzerland's unique natural heritage and world-leading expertise in research, innovation and environmental sciences. The programme featured personal reflections from Professor Dame Jane Francis, Director of the British Antarctic Survey, and Danièle Rod, Executive Director of the Swiss Polar Institute, on ice, exploration, and Swiss–UK collaboration. Swiss-French artist Julian Charrière presented his immersive video work Albedo and Swiss comedian Michael Elsener moderated the evening’s programme.

The Embassy of Switzerland extends its thanks to all friends, partners and sponsors who joined us at the V&A and contributed to the success of the evening.

It was a privilege to bring a taste of Switzerland to London once again and to celebrate the shared values, collaboration and friendship that continue to unite our two countries.
